The ASA Group Strengthens Global Presence with Key Strategic Appointments

The ASA Group, a global leader in bespoke security, aviation, and travel solutions, is proud to announce two key strategic appointments that will significantly enhance its international operations and client services. These appointments underscore ASA’s commitment to global expansion and excellence in service delivery.

Tom McAdams: Spearheading UK Operations

Tom McAdams has been appointed as Country Manager and Business Development Manager for the United Kingdom. This appointment coincides with the establishment of ASA (UK) Ltd, marking a significant milestone in the company’s European expansion.

McAdams brings an impressive 27-year career in the British Army to his new role, including 18 years with the elite Special Air Service (SAS), where he achieved the rank of Warrant Officer. His extensive experience encompasses:

  • Close Protection (CP) operations
  • Hostile Environments Awareness Training (HEAT)
  • Advising Presidential Executive Protection teams
  • Providing high-level security services to ultra-high-net-worth individuals and celebrities

McAdams’ wealth of experience in high-stakes security operations and executive protection makes him ideally suited to drive ASA’s growth in the UK market and enhance its service offerings.

Matt Burdette: Expanding US Presence

In a parallel move, Matt Burdette joins The ASA Group as Country Manager and Vice President of Business Development for the United States. This appointment is coupled with the launch of ASA (USA) Inc, reinforcing the company’s commitment to the North American market.

Burdette’s appointment follows a notable tenure as Director of Global Security at UnitedHealthcare Global. His expertise spans:

  • Risk management and threat mitigation for international business travelers and student organizations
  • Oversight of physical security operations
  • Intelligence and threat analysis
  • Travel tracking and aviation security
  • Crisis management, including multiple evacuation operations

Burdette’s background in geopolitical analysis, coupled with his experience in corporate intelligence and duty of care, positions him ideally to lead ASA’s expansion in the US market.

Strengthening Global Capabilities

These strategic appointments and the opening of new offices in the UK and USA represent a significant step in The ASA Group’s global expansion strategy. By leveraging the expertise of McAdams and Burdette, ASA aims to enhance its service delivery and client support in these key markets.

Simon Wagstaff, Founder & Chairman of The ASA Group, commented on the appointments: “We are thrilled to welcome Tom and Matt to our leadership team.
